Alot of websites, are well designed, every one that sees says "What a wonderful website you got", but the website main target is - making money for it's owner(this is the case in most private websites - tell me if i am wrong).
Alot of people with very nice websites that have alot of traffic come to me and say:"I have alot of traffic but only 5 sales a month!!".
Lets start with 10 tips to improve your sales:
1. Your domains have to hint about the website subject. for ex: http://www.seoisrael.co.il/ - SEO in Israel.
2. Your website's title must be clear about the type of service you supply.
3. Arrange your pages that visitors wants the most at front and others in the back.
you can suggest them to look at your other products but first give them what they were looking for.
4. Command the visitors to take action, if you want them to register to your newsletter write :"Register to my newsletter now!" and not like this:"If you want you can register to my newsletter" - this type creates immediate action.
5. Check your advertisment, maybe there is alot of traffic in your website but ask yourself -"Are my visitors finding what they are looking for?" If the answer is no, find the way to bring visitors that want to buy what you have to sell.
6. Create newsletter(if you don't have) send costumers free tips, free things and sales after they will like to read your email they will come to your website and buy your products.
7. Write Articles in your website that help to understand the importance of your products, After the readers will understand the need the number of buyers will increase too.
Remember the questions that pop to you sometimes "why do I need this product?" - give them the answer before the question.
8.Write your details, add a contact form and if you can add your phone number it is even better, that way visitors will feel safe in your website.
9.Add recommendations of people who used your product, that way your visitors will be impressed.
10. If your sale is through the web with credit card, add credit card company logo, give confident to your visitors.
And one Extra tip: Don't ignore people, if they ask you questions through email, answer them as quickly as possible.
